Dear Oak Park Families,
My name is Antoniette Curtis, and I am excited to support Oak Park as Vice Principal!
I have worked as an educator in the San Diego Unified School District since 2001, teaching grades K-5, primarily in the upper grades. I began my teaching career in 1999 as a first grade teacher in Chicago, Illinois before moving to San Diego in 2001. In 2016, I became the Resource Teacher for Oak Park, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with the teachers, staff, students, and parents of this wonderful community. Last year, I became a shared vice principal to EB Scripps, Jonas Salk, and Miller Elementary Schools. Luckily, the opportunity to return to Oak Park as Vice Principal arose, and I am honored to serve this community once again.
My most important job at Oak Park will be working with all of the amazing Oak Park students. As vice principal, I will spend a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles, and interests, letting them know they are a valued member of our school community. I also look forward to working with you, because as a team working together, we can ensure the success of your children, making your child’s elementary school years a very memorable and positive experience. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any comments, questions or concerns.
Oak Park is a fantastic school that I am grateful to be part of. I know we will have a spectacular 2020-2021 school year!
Respectfully,

Antoniette Curtis
